$3,000 on Facebook -that means we have won the $1000 daily
giving challenge three times!

And now, WE NEED ONLY 138 NEW DONORS to put us in 1st place to
win $50,000!
(*Challenge closes Feb. 1st)

If you haven't donated yet - PLEASE sign up today and make a
$10 minimum donation.

and ask them to donate to the cause.

To date we have raised $15,330 in total donations and prize

raise on our next daily challenge.

That daily challenge starts today, Friday January 18 at 3pm EST!

About the Facebook Challenge:
The Case Foundation has committed $250,000 to a donation
challenge for non-profit organizations. For every 24 hour period
until February 1, 2008, the non-profit organization with the
greatest number of individual donors wins $1000. The
organization with the greatest number of individual donors at
the end of the 50-day period that ends on February 1, 2008, wins
$50,000. The minimum donation per individual is $10.
We are still at 4th place in the $50,000 race. Your $10
donation will bring us closer to the $50,000 award. With
$50,000, we can organize two high-profile direct actions in
Beijing during the Olympics!

Theravadin Meditation Retreat

We wanted to let you know about a wonderful retreat opportunity coming
up in May. Ajahn Thanasanti and her sister nun Ajahn Upekkha will be
offering a Theravadin meditation retreat from Friday, May 9 - Sunday,
May 18 at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center in southwest Washington state.
Although this blog is usually on Tibetan Buddhism, I do know Ajahn Thanasanti personally and she is a wonderful teacher, not to be missed! Full retreat information, including retreat description and format, the teachers' biographies and photos, and registration information can also be found on our website at www.cloudmountain.org.

We hope to see you on this retreat! But even if you are not able to attend this retreat yourself, we would be grateful for your help in getting the word out to your friends and other people you know who might be interested in this kind of opportunity for Dhamma practice.

Please feel free to email or call us here at Cloud Mountain any time at info@cloudmountain.org or 888-465-9118 (toll-free). We would be happy to provide you with any additional information you might like!
