On Wednesday, October 17, 2007 His Holinessthe Dalai Lama will give apublic address on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol at 1 p.m. He will be receiving the Congressional GoldMedal from President Bush, the Speaker of theHouse, and Congressional leadership in the Capitol Rotunda. Richard Gere will make a few comments, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi will escort the Dalai Lama from the Rotunda to the West Lawn, where he will give a free public address.
